A-Z
We strongly recommend you purchase an A-Z for the
area you wish to work in the UK. They will greatly assist you to
get around, especially if you are planning to carry out day to day
supply work.
Travel - By Bus/Train
Buying a weekly or monthly "travel card"
for journeys taken in your most frequent zones will prove to be
a cheaper option than paying single fares on your way to and from
schools.
The UK also provides easy access to Europe and overseas
visitors can take full advantage of the cheap, short distance flights
to visit many European cities.

Mobile Telephones
You may purchase mobile phones on a 'buy and talk'
basis. These have no contract or rental fees. You just purchase
the telephone. They are available from any high street electrical
shop or specialist phone store.
Medical
Once you have established yourself we advise you to
register with a local doctor. Visiting a doctor is free, however,
you will have to pay for any prescriptions which is currently £6.10.
Dentist / Doctor
We would also recommend you register with a local
dentist and doctor. This service is free under the National Health
Service. Private care is also readily available for dentists.
