Accommodation North East
Youth Hostels offer immediate and short term beds for the night and can be found very near the centre of Newcastle. For the official Youth Hostels you must be a member but you can usually join when you turn up. Meals are cheap and there is usually free use of the kitchen.

YWCAs usually have permanent residency from September to June but vacancies sometimes arise.
Letting agents offer a variety of homes to rent with usually a minimum stay of one month starting around £300 for a one bedroom flat. These can come furnished or unfurnished (expect to pay more for furnished properties). Most will require references from previous landlords, proof of earnings and at least one month's deposit, a damage deposit and expect to pay a percentage of the total handling fee.
